Идея совместить хорошую музыку с благотворительностью не нова, но
именно 15 декабря при поддержке Департамента социзащиты Москвы было принято решение провести столь масштабную акцию.
Итак, с чего же все началось?

Dear Sirs,
I am invalid, I have 1st group of
invalidity. I have entered the Church 18 years ago. Within this period
there were ups and downs in the history of my contacts with the Church.
More than once I did find myself in desperate situations. And just in
these moments I truly realized that my life depends just on the will of
God, and I prayed that God would create wonder, - for there is nothing
impossible for God. I’ve decided to create a section of invalids in
Moscow Christ Church. Such section is necessary not just to
Invalids,
- the point is that healthy disciples need it even more. Invalids are
accustomed to solving the problematic questions. And it is normal. Such
is the life of invalids. That’s why we – like no-one else – come to
learn the true strength of God and acquire a powerful faith. Invalids
are able to set examples of overcoming difficult situations, to
demonstrate how mighty is the strength of God.
Now all over the world there takes place a struggle for equal rights for invalids. On 13 December of 2006
General
Assembly of the UN adopted Convention on the invalids’ rights. In our
country various social movements lead an enormous struggle for equal
opportunities. I wish Moscow Christ Church would not stand aside the
life of invalids. Now the number of invalids all over the world is 650
millions. It is about 10 % of overall world population.
I wish
Moscow Christ Church would take place in the life of invalids. We need
equal opportunities as well. Invalids need to attend church services,
church debates, to learn the art of preaching. In order to let them
opportunity to feel themselves useful within the Church, it is necessary
to elaborate special activity programs for them – just like it takes
place in other Church groups: in the section of married Church members,
the
section of bachelors, the section of aged people (‘Gold Fund’), the
students’ section etc. Invalids need their proper conferences.
The
Church needs to turn to invalids and ask them about their conditions of
life, about their aspirations and desires. Our church community is
short of formulation of a definite mode of life for invalids. The
promotion of such a special mode of life for invalids should be
all-embracing. It should comprise not just adaptation of invalids for
the realities of modern life, but it needs to go farther: there should
be created films, performances with the participation of invalids, there
should be organized debates on the problems of nowadays life in
Moscow
Christ Church. It should result in our self-fulfillment, - so that we
would be seen as equal members of society and not as social outcasts.
Activities Succession
We need to pray for appearance of such a section within
Moscow Christ Church.
It is necessary to listen to proposals and wishes of
invalids themselves.
Several points concerning section of invalids
It is necessary to discuss the reasons of the fact that
so few invalids come to God, and to elaborate the ways of
improvement of such a situation.
It is necessary to discuss the possibility of creation of
Childish Kingdom for children-invalids within
The Moscow Christ Church.
At regional meetings there should be examined a proposal
concerning setting up of leaders posts within invalids
group.
There should be examined a point concerning payment of
Social taxi, as soon as many invalids aren’t able to get
to services by public conveyances.
The leader of Moscow Christ Church should present a
